OUR BELIEFS & BREEDING PHILOSOPHIES

Life is God's gift to you, What you do with it is your gift to God.

As our motto states we  are " Devoted to the Preservation & Perfection of the Breed "

When we do a breeding it is First & Foremost for the betterment of the Breed , we also breed for ourselves, with our every intention of  keeping a  puppy   from  the litter, the rest are placed in the appropriate homes in their accordance to quality,  we have kept or co-owned at least one pup  from every litter we have bred with very few exceptions.

We strive to keep our standards high, in that we choose to breed ONLY dogs that  have passed the required health checks & are Champions or Pointed in the show ring, there have been exceptions but they are few & far between .

All of our breeding dogs are OFA/ X Ray Clear of hips abnormalities & CERF/ Eye Checked Clear of Eye diseases.

All of our breedings are planned & thought out in advance out before they take place, with special care taken to assure correct Akita temperament & quality are  upheld in the prospective parents,  we have yet to breed to an outside male that we have not personally known or "had our hands on".

We breed to maintain the Akita Standard , that is proper temperament,  head, earset, bone & brilliant color   are some of the important factors we strive to reproduce.

All of our puppies/dogs are sold with written contracts & guarantees.

We guarantee ALL of the dogs we produce, against any health issue that may crop  up as long as it is in writing from a licensed vet stating the dog was born with the condition.  (With a  guarantee like ours we do require you feed the breeder recommended food .)

Akitas are not the dog for everyone, we carefully explain to each & every person, that their are good & bad  things  with owning an Akita.

All of our homes are thoroughly screened before placement, we want each and every home to be a permanent  & stable home for the puppy, if within a reasonable distance, we choose to Hand deliver each puppy their new  home.

We will at ANY  time for ANY reason take back a puppy or adult that we have produced and/or placed,  no  matter  what the age of the animal.

All of our puppies sold as Pets, MUST be spayed/neutered & they are sold on written contracts stating this.

All of our puppies/dogs are MICROCHIPPED  mainly because we want to be responsible for  every  dog we produce and/or sell, with Microchipping we have a better chance of locating a lost, stolen or  disposed of dog from our kennel.

We are trying to the best we possibly can for the dogs we breed & the Akita Breed in general, we are a bit   stricter   than most breeders,  in that we do require  more than just the prospective buyers "word" that he   will provide the ultimate home for the puppy, hence our detailed contract.

We are willing to be a 24 hour/ 7 day a week support system for any type of question or help if it is needed   that holds true to, even if you choose to get a puppy elsewhere.

We have many happy owners &  dogs from all over the US to as far as Spain & we are happy to supply references.

We  pride ourselves in CONSISTENT  puppies in  not only color & markings but solid type as well .

Showing our dogs is a very important factor in our lives, we want to be proud of what carries our name in & out of the  Show ring ~ Showing does take some time & knowledge , but   we are FIRM believers of HANDS ON EXPERIENCES being the best ! ~ you can read & watch all you want  but to be in the ring is a whole new set of cards.    Showing is a very fun sport , it can be discouraging it at times, but well worth it at  others, we  show for  2 reasons , FUN & PRIDE , if we were to ever  lose those  2 objectives we'd would quit , without those 2 things it becomes to much to handle  & some get to serious about the whole game & forget  that Dog Shows are just that A GAME , one wins one loses & there are more losers than winners ~ with that always clear in your mind Showing is a BLAST !

WHAT IS A BREEDER ??

A Breeder (with a capital B) is one who thirsts for knowledge and never really knows it all, one who wrestles with decisions of conscience, convenience, and commitment.

A Breeder is one who sacrifices personal interests, finances, time, friendships, fancy furniture, and deep pile carpeting! She gives up the dreams of a long, luxurious cruise in favor of turning that all important Show into this years "vacation". The Breeder goes without sleep (but never without coffee!) in hours spent planning a breeding or watching anxiously over the birth process, and afterwards, over every little sneeze, wiggle or cry. The Breeder skips dinner parties because that litter is due or the babies have to be fed at eight. She disregards birth fluids and puts mouth to mouth to save a gasping newborn, literally blowing life into a tiny, helpless creature that may be the culmination of a lifetime of dreams.

A Breeders lap is a marvelous place where generations of proud and noble champions once snoozed. A Breeders hands are strong and firm and often soiled, but ever so gentle and sensitive to the thrusts of a puppy's wet nose. A Breeders back and knees are usually arthritic from stooping, bending, and sitting in the birthing box, but are strong enough to enable the breeder to Show the next choice pup to a Championship. A Breeders shoulders are stooped and often heaped with abuse from competitors, but they're wide enough to support the weight of a thousand defeats and frustrations. A Breeders arms are always able to wield a mop, support an armful of puppies, or lend a helping hand to a newcomer.

A Breeders ears are wondrous things, sometimes red (from being talked about) or strangely shaped (from being pressed against a phone receiver), often deaf to criticism, yet always fine-tuned to the whimper of a sick puppy. A Breeders eyes are blurred from pedigree research and sometimes blind to her own dog's faults, but they are ever so keen to the competitions faults and are always searching for the perfect specimen.

A Breeders brain is foggy on faces, but it can recall pedigrees faster than an IBM computer. It's so full of knowledge that sometimes it blows a fuse: it catalogues thousands of good bonings, fine ears, and perfect heads... and buries in the soul the failures and the ones that didn't turn out.

The Breeders heart is often broken, but it beats strongly with hope everlasting... and it's always in the right place ! Oh, yes, there are breeders, and then, there are BREEDERS!!
